Grubhub’s block scheduling allows you to reserve time slots for when you want to deliver meals. This helps Grubhub ensure that there aren’t too many drivers on the road and that you’ll receive deliveries.

First off you need to make sure you’re logged in to your Grubhub account on the app.

Select Scheduling:

How Long Are Grubhub Blocks?

The blocks on Grubhub vary based on the market you’re in. Some are short while others are longer.

What happens if you drop blocks on Grubhub?

If you find yourself unable to work a block that you’ve booked, drop it as soon as possible so that other drivers in your area can take it.

When you postpone editing or removing your block until the last minute, you deprive other drivers of earning possibilities.

When you drop a block it effects your attendance rate:

It is very unlikely that you will be deactivated for dropping blocks.

Although you are unlikely to be deactivated, Grubhub may limit access to scheduling if you drop blocks within 72 hours of your block start time on a frequent basis.

Your block drop rate has an impact on your Program Level.

What is a Block Drop Rate?

The number of blocks you’ve dropped in the last 30 days is your block drop rate.

What Are The Three Program Levels of Grubhub?

The three program levels Grubhub offers is the partner, pro and last but not least the premier level.

Grubhub Partner Level:

This level gives you 3rd access to new blocks when you’re scheduling your blocks.

The access to this level just comes with getting started and there are no big rewards for being on this level.

Grubhub Pro Level:

The grubhub pro level comes with a 100% attendance rate, an 85% order acceptance rate, and a greater than 20% block drop rate.

This gives you 2nd access to blocks, catering order availability, access to referral programs and other perks.

Grubhub Premier Level:

The grubhub premier level offers everything the pro level offers except 1st access to schedule new blocks.

Can I do Grubhub without a block?

Does Scheduling a Block With Grubhub Guarantee You More Money?

Scheduling your blocks give drivers the opportunity to receive more orders and potentially higher earnings, so make sure to schedule when possible.

Although it is not always guaranteed that you will make more money, scheduling blocks is better for the long run because the perks you get if and when you reach premier level will definitely give you more perks and earnings opportunities.

Can You Keep Working For Grubhub After A Block Ends?

This means the offers after your block is finished may not be as good as the ones during your block.

You can accept blocks that people are absent for on Grubhub!

Sometimes you will receive offers for blocks that already started. This is because people were absent and couldn’t make it to drive.

You can accept these blocks if you have the time to work the scheduled shift.

Can You End A Block Early On Grubhub?

The consensus i got around the internet is that you shouldn’t end the block early if there’s more than ten minutes left .

You can end the block early if there is only a few minutes left and it will not affect your attendance rate.

If people are present for the shift ending early does not count as an absence.

Ending a block before time is up won’t negatively effect your attendance score so go ahead!
