A designer’s time is worth more than what they are getting paid so it doesn’t make sense to waste your time when you could be doing the same thing for someone else who is willing to pay you.

If Designers want to design through either platform then it should be as a hobby, not their main source of income.

Designcrowd and 99designs are both great platforms that offer designers the opportunity to get some work done but they also have cons which outweigh the pros in my opinion.
