Dividend investing is red-hot right now – and for good reason! A legitimate investment option that can generate incredible passive income (the dream we all have), unlocking dividend investing in WeBull is a game changer.
At the same time, WeBull doesn’t necessarily make finding information about your dividends (how to check on them, how to access them, what to do with them after you earn them) the easiest thing to find. You have to sift through a couple of different options to get the info you’re after.
In the rest of this detailed guide, though, we highlight everything you need to know about tracking down everything you need to know about your dividends through the WeBull platform.
Let’s get into it, shall we!
How Do You Check Dividends on WeBull?
The WeBull investment platform is one of the most robust, polished, and easily accessible investment platforms on the planet today.
It literally puts the entirety of the stock market (and then some) in the palm of your hand, totally accessible from your favorite phone or mobile device, and lets you buy and sell the assets you’ll use to generate incredible wealth.
At the same time, though, WeBull definitely buries some of the more important tools and assets it makes available to its users under a cascade of menus and options.
Dividend information is one of them.
Luckily, though, we have drawn a quick “roadmap” to help you find out just about everything you need to know about your dividends situation on WeBull today.
All you have to do is:
- Click on the PERFORMANCE link
- Click on the ACCOUNT P ; L link
- Click SELECT ALL
- Scroll your finger down
- Navigate to the DIVIDENDS option
… And now you’re rocking and rolling!
It’s a little bit convoluted (to be fair) and we’d like for the folks at WeBull to make it a little more streamlined and a little more accessible.
Truth be told, though, once you get the hang of this navigation route you’ll be pulling up your dividend information in no time at all. It’ll feel like second nature.
How are Dividends Treated on WeBull?
Dividends in WeBull are treated the same as they are on any other platform.
You get detailed information about the dividend shares you own, the dividend that those shares pay out, and things like your lifetime earnings (as well as projected earnings going forward).
You also get information about any changes to the dividend payment, the dividend yield, and a whole host of other details that will help you determine whether or not specific dividend stocks are worth continuing to hold or are better off liquidated so that you can use those assets to buy other dividend paying stocks.
At the end of the day, though, dividend shares are treated very similar to any of the other “normal” stocks and shares you might have purchased that don’t pay dividends at all.
What Do I Do with Dividends on WeBull?
You really have two specific options available when you get dividends paid out through WeBull.
On the one hand, you can choose to transfer those dividend payouts (payouts sent directly to your WeBull account from the company whose stock you own) into your own bank account.
You’ll be able to bank those payments and then do anything you like with them, using them just like cash (because they will be).
On the other hand, though – and this is where the real wealth generating power of dividends come into play – you can also reinvest that money right back into the stock market (maybe even buying more dividend yielding shares)!
This is game changing stuff.
You are basically able to buy shares for free (money paid out in dividends just for holding certain shares), increasing your network every time those stocks rise in value – but also making money with dividends if you purchased more dividend yielding stocks.
You can rinse and repeat the process just as often as you like, piling up more and more stocks that pay dividends until you are enjoying legitimately passive income without having to touch any of the stocks you own.
That’s real wealth.
Do I Have to Do Anything to Collect My WeBull Dividends?
Of course, you don’t really have to do anything with your WeBull dividends if you don’t want to.
You can leave them in your WeBull account (they’ll sit there with the rest of the money that you have uninvested at any one specific point in time) but that’s really not the smartest thing you could do.
WeBull doesn’t currently have an automatic reinvestment option available, so that cash is just sort of stagnating in your account. It isn’t helping you make any money.
If you’re serious about using WeBull dividends to grow your personal wealth, you’ll want to either pull that money out of your WeBull account into your bank account (and buy other assets with it). Or you’ll reinvest that money right back into dividend paying stocks and build your war chest a little deeper!
Closing Thoughts
At the end of the day, finding information about your dividend paying stocks in WeBull is a little bit on the more complex side of things.
You have to dig around your Performance options, you have to get into Account P ; L information, and then you have two specifically seek out details regarding your dividends.
For us, that’s a couple of taps (and a little bit of scrolling) a little too much.
At the same time, though, this isn’t really the end of the world.
Sure, it might be nice if WeBull took the time to redesign and redevelop this process. Maybe prioritizing the information for dividends a little better, making it easier for their users to find this information (information that more and more people are hunting down as they get into dividends as an investment).
When you get down to it, though, you’re really only three or four taps on your screen away from getting access to this information.
