Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money without the need for any upfront costs.

In order to be successful, an affiliate marketer needs a website with lots of traffic and some basic SEO strategy in place.

Without these two things, it can be hard to find success as an affiliate marketer; but luckily there are many free blog sites that provide both!

The next sections will show you some free blog sites that you can do affiliate marketing from. I’ll also let you know the pros and cons of doing affiliate marketing on sites like these

Free Blogging Platforms

There are quite a few free blogging platforms out there on the internet.

The ones I’ve listed below are some of the best free blog platforms that work well for affiliate marketing:

  • – Blogger.com
  • – Tumblr.com
  • -Medium.com
  • -Hub Pages
  • -Vocal

Blogger.com

Blogger.com is a great free blogging site.

Blogger is great for people who want to write blog posts without having to put money down.

The only thing you need to sign up with blogger is a google account.

Affiliate marketing on blogger.com is a great way to get things out there with little risk.

Blog posts can be written and published instantly from the blog’s dashboard, which means you don’t have to wait for an editor or moderator approval before publishing your content.

You don’t have as much control over SEO as you would with sites like wordpress, but if you’re looking to do things cheaper, there will be some downfalls.

Tumblr.com

Tumblr is a blogging site that was originally designed just for tumblelogs, but has since evolved to allow users to share photos and other media content.

Tumblelogs are essentially blogs posts consisting of images with accompanying text.

This free blog site is great because it’s really easy to use and the interface is very user-friendly.

With Tumblr you are able to post affiliate links and other links for your target audience.

Tumblr offers a lot of customization options so you can create the perfect blog feed. You are able to customize how many posts per page and also which tags show up on your homepage.

One downside with Tumblr is that it isn’t as SEO friendly, meaning you won’t get better rankings in search engines.

Medium.com

Medium.com is one of the best upcoming free blog sites.

You are able to post original content and it’s easy to share.

Medium is a very popular site that has a wide reach on the internet so you can find your target audience more easily which will ultimately help with marketing.

Medium.com does allow you to add affiliate links the only thing you have to do is add a disclosure in your post.

Medium provides you with very limited options for customization of your blog posts, so if that’s something important to you this may not be the best site for you.

The other downside is that it isn’t as SEO friendly as well.

Hub Pages

Hubpages is a free blog site without any advertising on the sidebar.

The way it works is you do have to sign up and then write articles about your topic of choice for example if your niche was related to cooking, gardening etc., you would need to talk about these topics in order for people who are looking specifically for this type of topic to see your articles and get in touch with you.

In order for people to find the blog there is a search function that makes it easier for someone looking specifically for this topic, but if they are just browsing around then your article won’t be relevant because of course its not what they are looking for.

The good thing about Hub Pages is that they have a ton of traffic so its easy to get an article out there and find new readers.

The one downside of HubPages is that you don’t have a lot of control over design.

The HubPages staff review and approve posts. So your posts dont always get approved.

Vocal

Vocal is another one of the best free blog sites.

Vocal.media is a platform for supporting, discovering, and rewarding creators. Vocal provides the storytelling tools and engaged communities for writers, musicians, filmmakers, artists, and all types of creatives to get discovered and fund their creativity.

Cons of Vocal are that once a post gets made you can’t go back and change it.

The reach on google also isn’t very good.

What is The Best Free Blog site for Affiliate Marketing?

Medium has the most hype for a reason. It has a huge, engaged community.

Medium lets you add tags to your posts and updates which helps with SEO. You can also create collections of related posts for new or ongoing topics in order to build up an audience around those subjects.

Medium is definitely the best free blogging site at this time (in our opinion).

Medium also makes it very easy to earn money right away.

What Are the Cons of Using These Platforms

Risk: First off, when you write on these sites, you can get kicked off at any second. They don’t have to accept everything you write. To put in all these hours on a site that’s not yours is very risky. You’re better off getting your own domain and writing your own post on a blog you own.

Google Ads: You can’t make money on google adsense with these sites. You have to buy your own domain in order for google adsense to work.

Earning Potential: Earning are not as high as if you started your own wordpress blog. The whole purpose is to make money so if you can you’re better off doing everything yourself.

What To Know If You Choose a Free Blog

Niche: You need to choose a good niche in order to be successful on these free sites. You need to stay dedicated to this niche. There’s a lot of people on these free sites that write pointless stories, and if that’s what you want for your own happiness do it, but sticking to a niche will help you make money.

Customize: Most of these free blogs don’t give you as much freedom to customize. If you want your posts to look great getting your own blog is the best way to go. If you’re ok with things being basic a free blog is ok for you.

Google: Most of these sites are not good when it comes to ranking on google. So instead of relying on the SEO of google, you’re relying mostly on the SEO within the site which makes it harder for your post to get more traffic, which also makes it harder to make money.

Consistency: With a regular blog you need to be consistent. This remains the same with free blogging sites. Try and set a goal of a certain amount of posts and then monitor the results.

Social Media: Try and utilize social media for your free blog. Utilizing social media platforms like pinterest, facebook, instagram, tik tok and whatever you can, can help drive traffic to your posts.

Recommendation

Our recommendation is that you should start your own self hosted blog if you can.

Use a host like bluehost and connect wordpress.org. A mistake a lot of people make is that they use wordpress.com, but when you use this site you don’t actually own your site.

With a wordpress blog using bluehost you own everything. It takes away the risk of getting everything taken away from you at any second.

If you’re interested in signing up with blue host, use my link with no additional cost to you:

In Conclusion:

If you’re looking for a new blog to promote your affiliate links, this post should be helpful.
