In order to start your own Youtube channel you need to be 13 or older.
In order to start a channel if you are under 13 is to set up an account under your parents name.
Can You Make Money on Youtube If You’re Under 18
You can make money on youtube if you’re under 18, but the Ad Sense account can’t be linked to your name.
Your parent or someone over the age of 18 would need to create google account and link their google account to your Youtube channel in order to collect payments for your channel.
Hit Youtubes Requirements
Before you even worry about all of that you need to hit Youtubes requirements to get monetized. The requirements to be monetized on Youtube are :
-You need to have at least 1000 subscribers
-All of your videos must be public.
-You need to hit 4000 watch hours.
Once you hit these requirements you’re good to apply for monetization.
Add Your Parents Youtube Channel To Your Youtube Channel
What you need to do is go on your parents channel. Keep in mind this channel doesn’t need to have any subscribers or watch hours.
You want to click on the Ad Sense button within their Youtube channel, and put the link of your (or your childs) channel into the link section of google adsense where it says “your website”.
This is the only thing of yours that you include in the google ad sense application.
All the other information inlcuding name, gmail account, Ein or SSN, and other personal information need to be entered as if your parents are signing up.
Can You Link Your Own Bank Account Information To Youtube?
You don’t need to link your parents bank account to the youtube channel since you can have a bank account under the age of 18.
So if you have a bank account, enter in that information.
If you don’t have a bank account we highly suggest you go sign up for one so the money goes directly to you.
